The Dept. of History was started with the inception of the college i.e. in June, 1960. Moreover, C.B.C.S. and semester system has been implemented at the under graduation level since 2011-12 AD. There are two permanent teachers in the department. Miss Mangalaben Datir, the Head of the Department is an Associate Professor and Mr. Kalpesh Chaudhari is an Assistant Professor. Its our pride to mention at this juncture that many students have obtained very good result at the under graduate level which is worth appreciating. The average result is about 95 % every year. Many students participate in various seminars and thus enrich their knowledge of the discipline. There are more than 2000 reference books of the subject in the college library and there are C.D.S. too. The lectures of various scholars are also organized every year for the benefit of the students. We also envisage to start a P.G. center in and coaching classes for the G.P.S.C. and U.P.S.C. exams in future.
